Our experience enables us to offer individualized treatment. We design programs based on specific individual values and lifestyles to honor the unique needs of our clients. In addition to individual services, LIFE provides community workshops and training courses for clients, parents and/or caregivers based on the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) and Positive Behavior Supports.
The main objective of LIFE is to empower individuals to learn skills that will improve their access to social opportunities, relationships, and independence in their home, community, school, and vocational settings. We want to energize our clients, and have them become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.
LIFE offers a broad range of services with one common goal: to improve the lives of adults living with developmental disabilities. With our expert knowledge and experience in working with a wide range of individuals, our promise is to provide services that are beneficial for a diverse group of individuals with disabilities.

We provide adult clients with the tools that they need to acquire jobs that are a match for their individual interests, skills, and abilities. We can help clients determine what job accommodations and/or modifications they may need and empower them with the skills to advocate for their needs when communicating with employers and coworkers. Individualized services include Personal/Social Adjustment Training and Job Readiness Training.
Our groups follow the Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®) for Young Adults. PEERS is a 16-week evidence-based social skills intervention for motivated young adults, who are interested in learning skills to make and keep friends and develop romantic relationships. During each session, young adults are taught important social skills and are given the opportunity to practice these skills.
We provide assessment and develop in-home services by identifying the specific needs of each client to create an individualized treatment plan for families. Using the assessment results, we recommend behavior supports based on the principles of ABA to train parents, siblings, caregivers and other family members to address each individual’s behavior effectively. Furthermore, we provide support and resources to help families successfully implement the recommended treatment plans.
We offer training sessions for parents, caregivers, school personnel, community providers, and employers on understanding and addressing the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities. Our training can be geared to the individual needs of a unique audience. We have experience providing training, presentations, and workshops on a variety of topics including ABA teaching strategies, Behavior Management, Functional Behavior Assessments, Behavior Intervention Plans, Individual Education Plans, Transition Plans, and Parent Coaching.
We offer internships to students exploring the fields of psychology and counseling.
